Earl began producing custom trombones in the late 1920s and 1930s in a joint venture with Spike Wallace, the bass trombonist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the time. I should also note that not all brass is created equal, my method is mildly brutal so I would not use it on really expensive items without a bit of thought. It has been well maintained and is overall in excellent condition, with the exception of some cosmetic blems here and there (it is an old horn after all!).
